The Department of Turkish Language Education was established in the 2016-2017 academic year through the transformation of the Turkish Language Teaching Program into a main department and continues its activities in modern educational environments on the 2nd floor of Block B. Our department, which has adopted the mission of training Turkish language teachers who are equipped with contemporary educational approaches, research-oriented, creative, and socially responsible by harmonizing the richness of the Turkish language with the most current approaches in educational sciences, aims to be a leading department recognized at national and international levels in the field of Turkish language education through quality education and research activities. With our strong academic staff consisting of 4 Full Professors, 3 Associate Professors, and 2 Research Assistants, our department, which has been accepting students since the 2015-2016 academic year, awards bachelor's degrees to graduates after 4 years 8 semesters of undergraduate education and offers international academic mobility opportunities within the scope of Erasmus and Farabi exchange programs. Our department also has two graduate programs: Turkish Language Education and Teaching Turkish to Foreigners. Our graduates can work as Turkish language teachers in public and private educational institutions affiliated with the Ministry of National Education, continue their academic careers in our graduate programs, or pursue graduate education at different universities.
