Department of Turkish Language Education
General Information
The Department of Turkish Language Education was established in the 2016-2017 academic year through the transformation of the Turkish Language Teaching Program into a main department. Our department conducts its educational activities in modern teaching environments on the 2nd floor of Block B.
Our Mission
To train Turkish language teachers who are equipped with contemporary educational approaches, research-oriented, creative, and socially responsible by harmonizing the richness of the Turkish language with the most current approaches in educational sciences; to contribute to the field of Turkish language education through scientific research and publication activities.
Our Vision
To become a leading department recognized at national and international levels in the field of Turkish language education through quality education and research activities; to ensure that our graduates serve as role models in transmitting the Turkish language to future generations through their professional competencies.

Educational Program
Our department, which admitted its first students in the 2015-2016 academic year, offers a 4-year (8 semesters) undergraduate education. Students who successfully complete the program are awarded a bachelor's degree.
